Why is it called Maple Leaf Rag?

Joplin's most famous composition, "Maple Leaf Rag," was published while he was living in Sedalia, Missouri. It was named after the Maple Leaf Club; the date the club was founded is uncertain, but it was no later than November 24, 1898, when the first Maple Leaf ball was held.

Of course we can. I have played so many pieces by Liszt and Rach that my advice for people with small hands is to learn to be fast with arpeggiating the large chords.

You're very self-motivated! I saw so many songs you played in your profile page. You really dare to try many different types of pieces. Well done!

The Siena Piano, known also as the ‘Harp of David Piano’ and the ‘Immortal Piano’, underneath the legend what we’re talking about here is a plain old upright piano. It is said that the piano has mysterious qualities, in that its sound can change depending on the style and music which is played. One moment it sounds like a piano, then a harpsichord, sometimes like a bell and then like a violin.

Piano is the best instrument to start a strong musical foundation on. There are two categories of reasons why this is the case. The first category of reasons has to do with ease of learning and the second category of reasons is about the piano’s long-term purpose as a tool for any kind of musician.

Who knew that even a simple changing of hands for a used pianos could go wrong? Anna wanted to give her piano away, and was very confident that her piano was definitely in a good condition just before the piano was moved out.

A day after Bella received the piano, she took a video showing the defects - several sticky keys and a few broken strings. Who's the culprit - Anna, Bella, or piano mover?
