This year’s President’s Star Charity (PSC) has raised a record-breaking S$10,471,294.

The two-hour show on Sunday (Nov 10) was hosted by Glenda Chong and Chua Enlai and featured segments by a number of performers, including Mediacorp Young Talents Project 2019 winners who accompanied artistes Kym Ng and Evelyn Tan for a redux of the song The Moon Represents My Heart by Teresa Teng.

This was a tribute to PSC founder and late former President Ong Teng Cheong who had performed a piano version of the ballad at PSC 1999.

14-year-old pianist Adrian Tang Zhi Feng was crowned the Grand Prize winner and top performer of the Senior Category at the Young Talents Project 2019 (YTP) Grand Finals held today at the Victoria Concert Hall.

Organised by Singapore’s only classical music station Symphony 924, YTP is Mediacorp’s annual celebration of classical music and talents. In its eighth edition this year, YTP saw close to a hundred young musicians entering the competition in two age categories – Junior Category for children between seven and 12 years old, and Senior Category for those aged between 13 and 17. Ten finalists were eventually shortlisted to perform a classical piece of their choice at the Grand Finals.
