Who wrote the score for Joker?

Joker demanded a soundtrack that would bring its twisted plot to life – and with her impressive portfolio of music for thrillers and horror movies, Icelandic composer, Hildur Ingveldardóttir Guðnadóttir, has experience made for a film like this.

And in the trailer for Joker, the eerie soundtrack certainly sets the tone for the rest of the movie.

It is amazing that four decades after the movie’s release, people are still finding new ways of interpreting Halloween’s theme song. The original theme was created with simple piano music, however, sometimes it is simple things that really capture people’s imagination and withstand the test of time. As John Carpenter said, “Horror movies will live forever.”

So we decided to make our own! We tried to stick as closely to the original as possible (which was written for three violins and basso continuo), and we performed it NOT at a snail's pace so the bride can actually make it down the aisle without putting everyone to sleep. 🙊(Yeah, we said it! Nobody likes a slow processional!)

Also, the number one complaint about this piece from cellists is always how booooring it is to play because they literally have to play the same 8 bass notes over and over for the entire piece. Problem solved with this arrangement because the cello NEVER has to play the bass! 🙌

Bosso was conducting his Philharmonic Orchestra of Europe at a theatre in Foggia, in the southern Italian region of Puglia, on Saturday night when he reportedly came under pressure from the audience to play.

“If you love me, please don’t ask me to play any more,” Italian newspapers quoted him as saying during a discussion at an exhibition centre in Bari the next day.

“You do not know the suffering it causes me … I have two fingers that no longer respond well and so I can’t give as much to the music.”

It was noticed that increased compression in MP3s led to a change in the “emotional characteristics” of various instruments. The research showed that motions considered neutral and negative (mysterious, shy, scary and sad) tended to be heightened, whilst more positive emotions (including happy and romantic) appeared to be diminished.

Is your child learning just three piano exam pieces, and practicing the same scales and arpeggios day in and out every grading year so that he can take the piano exam?

Sounds too familiar? Most importantly, is there anything bad with this approach at all, and is there even any good? Should you, as a parent, be concerned?

She would not honour 4 lessons out of the total of 24 conducted since the last payment, as she suspected I wasn't here for these lessons.
