Lily Ye (Violin)

  1. Lily Wei Ye was born in Phoenix, Arizona. Her mom, Mei Mei Wei, a renowned violinist, introduced her to violin when she was six. In 2008, Lily moved to Shanghai and attended Concordia International School Shanghai and graduated in 2013. She participated in Concordia's APAC string festivals and became one of the soloists in her senior year. 
  2. Lily attended the Meadowmount School of Music in Westport, New York during the summers of 2012 to 2015. She won first prize in the Hong Kong International Youth Music Competition in 2015 and in the same year, placed second at the 19th International Violin Competition in Bari, Italy. In 2016, She attended the New York International Music Competition and Festival in Taiwan and received Gold.
  3. She attended the Aspen Music Festival in summer of 2017 and studied with Cornelia Heard and Naoko Tanaka. Lily graduated with her bachelors at the New School's Mannes College of Music and recently she received her master degree of violin performance at Manhattan School of Music in New York City. Currently she is studying Music Education at Columbia University’s Teacher College. She has played in the Lincoln Center and Carnegie Hall with the Manhattan School of Music Orchestra during her masters. More recently, she has performed at the UN Headquarters in NYC. 
  4. Lily currently resides in New York City and just made her Carnegie Hall debut solo recital on June 3,2019. She is also the member of New York Chamber Orchestra Players and teaches at Aretas Music School,she is also as Associate Artist-Director of the Manhattan International Music Festival

 

Benjamin Goodman (Piano)

  1. Benjamin Goodman was born in Oxford, England in 1990 and made aliyah at the age of thirteen. He started playing both piano and violin at the age of five. But, soon after arriving in Israel, he decided to concentrate solely on piano.
  2.  It was then that his first serious study of the piano began, under the guidance of his teacher Esther Narkis. He served as an Exceptional Musician in the IDF for three years, where he initiated a series of explained concerts for trainee officers and combat soldiers and facilitated the donation of pianos to two army bases.
  3. He was recently awarded first prize and Laureate Winner at the World Piano Teacher’s Association International Piano Competition and won the “Barenreiter-Vertlag” Orchestra’s Favorite Pianist Prize at the Stasys Vainiuans International Piano Competition in the past year. He also won first prizes in the Jerusalem’s Academy’s Piano Solo Competition and the Piano Concerto Competition. 
  4. He has performed with ensembles such as the St. Christofer Chamber Orchestra, the Round Top Festival Orchestra, the Jerusalem Academy Symphony Orchestra, and the Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra. He has given public solo performances throughout Europe, United States, Israel and China.
  5. He attended several music festivals on full scholarships, among them are Siena Academy Summer Music Festival, Chautauqua Institute Summer Music Festival, Aspen Summer Music Festival, and Round Top Summer Festival Institute. Mr. Goodman was invited to give masterclasses and concerts in Shanghai, China in 2018. 
  6. Benjamin produced and performed a concert for Israeli Artists in Carnegie’s Weill Recital Hall in 2016 and had his solo recital debut there a year later. Mr. Goodman was also recently appointed President and Artistic Director of the Israel Chapter of the World Piano Teacher’s Association. Recently he played solo and violin duo recital at the Shanghai Oriental Arts Center and Shanghai Ploy Grand Theater etc,.

 

Special Guest Artist: Mei Mei Wei

  1. Mei Mei Wei A winner of the Artists International Violin Competition in New York, She was  invited to play solo recital in Carnegie Hall. Her performance was highly praised by the” New York Concert Review”. 
  2. Born into a family of artists in Shanghai, China. After graduated from the Shanghai Conservatory of Music. She went to University of Southern California where she received her Master’s degree. Mei Mei Wei received her Doctor of Musical Arts degree at Louisiana State University.
  3. Mei Mei Wei has held the positions of Associate Concertmaster of Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra, First Violin section of Phoenix Symphony. 
  4. After returning to China in 2008,  Mei Mei Wei was appointed as the Music Director, Soloist, and Concertmaster of the Shanghai Baroque Chamber Orchestra. Over the last ten years, she has been successfully leading the orchestra plays at the most well-known concert halls in China and such as the Shanghai Oriental Arts Center. Shanghai Grand Theater, Shanghai Concert Hall etc,. And taught at the Shanghai Conservatory and China Eastern University Music School. Currently she is also violin professor and artistic director of the Manhattan International Music Festival in Shanghai where she often plays solo and chamber music with world class musicians.
