Beethoven Last Years

Travel on a journey through the last years of monumental composer Ludwig van Beethoven with internationally renowned artists and homegrown solo violinist, Tee Khoon Tang.
On this journey, our first night (11 Mar 2016) brings us in to Beethoven's personal world with his penultimate Solo Piano Sonata Op. 110 and his String Quartet Op. 132 in a minor, which slow movement is his song of thanksgiving for having recovered from a near-fatal illness.
Completing the experience, our second night (12 Mar 2016) brings us Beethoven's final 2 Cello Sonatas Op. 102 presented by the renowned Carr-Sauer duo, and his first late string quartet, Op. 127 where we see his late style and outlook emerging. Join us at the pre-concert talk where you can learn more about Beethoven's craft in these last years, and our post-concert chat with the artists to learn about their journey as interpreters of Beethoven's music.
For young ones who are just starting out, we have specially designed 2 interactive Concerts for Children (12 Mar 2016). Send them off to a 50-minute session of fun and learning with these international artists and a great facilitator !
