Advanced Technology
The technology used in the Spirio utilizes a proprietary high-resolution software system along with solenoids (a current-carrying coil of wire) that actuate each note on the piano, and two pedal solenoids. The technology was developed in partnership between Steinway & Sons and Wayne Stahnke, a pioneer of the modern player piano system.

The Steinway QuietTime ProRecord system allows you the option to silence the strings by means of an interposing hammer bars. This allows you to practice silently whenever you feel like playing the piano, the system also allows all of your passages to be recorded and called up at the press of a button.
