Adam Gyorgy returns to Esplanade Concert Hall with a unique improvisation night inspired by Keith Jarrett, folk tunes from his home country Hungary, Chopin and Liszt.

Life is full of important moments and numerous classical works exhibits these important moments vividly. After touring around the globe extensively for over 15 years, Gyorgy’s art opened up more to the “moments in between”. What is happening with us in between those great moments of life? What are the periods in our life, which really define us? This concert is all about displaying and living through those in between periods, showcasing them through Gyorgy’s own themes inspired by Keith Jarrett, folk tunes from Hungary, or compositions from Frederic Chopin and Franz Liszt.

Known best for his Liszt interpretations, Mr. Gyorgy is recognized worldwide as one of today’s finest pianists. A regular performer at New York’s Carnegie Hall, Adam Gyorgy creates an ambience that intertwines celestial music and communication, in which makes up a signature Adam Gyorgy experience that is incomparable to others.

In 2012, he opened the UEFA European Football Championship in Warsaw with a fun and unique interpretation of Chopin’s Winterwind broadcast live to an audience of 300 million across the globe. A prestigious Steinway Artist, Mr. Gyorgy has played in multiple sold out performances at Carnegie Hall, the Chan Centre for the Performing Arts (Canada), the Palace of Arts (Hungary) among others. Mr. Gyorgy’s recent performances include The United Nations Day Humanitarian Awards Gala Dinner in New York City where he was invited to the 70thAnniversary of United Nation as the honorary musical guest.

Through his extraordinary talent and his memorable performances, Mr. Gyorgy exemplifies the attributes and objectives of the fine arts. As a pianist, he preserves the tradition of historic classical artists. He is also innovative when interpreting classical works with his own distinct style, and creates original music with his famous improvisations. Adam Gyorgy will perform a one hour improvisation program at Esplanade Concert Hall with no intermission. His artistic journey led him to be one of the leading classical pianists of today, yet this concert takes the audience on a completely different journey.

Mr. Gyorgy’s storytelling on the piano, his exceptional tone quality and elegance have set him apart from the finest musicians of his generation. During his World Tour 2018 he takes a the courage and liberty to only speak through his own music, possibly including themes or compositions by two of his favorite classical composers, Frederic Chopin and Franz Liszt.
