“I'm already established so I can get jobs overseas and at functions in Singapore. But all these musicians, who need a foundation of performing on home soil, will be coming out with their degrees or diplomas in music and what they end up doing is going back to teach the next generation of jobless musicians. Do we really want to drive all of them overseas?”

Comment from a YouTube user: I don't think people truly understand just how INSANELY DIFFICULT this act is to pull off.

Hungarian No. 2 is already one of the most difficult pieces to play on piano, but add in another pianist and also the physical humor?

My god the logistics are just mind blowing. Mr. Borge was an incredibly talented musician and funny to boot. And never dirty or offensive. Suggestive at times, but never in a way that was more than PG. The guy playing with him... See More

Great act.

One of Borge's most amusing performances, which includes his "Moonlight Sonata", "The Blue Danube" and "The William Tell Overture" (in reverse).

One of the greatest piano comedians of all time was an American-Danish by the name of Victor Borge, whose career spanned more than seventy years.

Victor Borge’s style of humour quickly won him fans. Borge passed away in 2000, at the age of 91, and the world had lost a natural comedian who had entertained legions of piano music lovers but Borge’s legacy lives on.

Some of you know that we(Brooklyn Duo) occasionally play for weddings. As you can imagine, we get a LOT of requests for Canon in D, and we've discovered that there are NO good arrangements available anywhere for piano and cello! Hard to believe given its popularity.

So we decided to make our own! We tried to stick as closely to the original as possible (which was written for three violins and basso continuo), and we performed it NOT at a snail's pace so the bride can actually make it down the aisle without putting everyone to sleep. ?(Yeah, we said it! Nobody likes a slow processional!)

Also, the number one complaint about this piece from cellists is always how booooring it is to play because they literally have to play the same 8 bass notes over and over for the entire piece. Problem solved with this arrangement because the cello NEVER has to play the bass! ?
