It is the first annual classical music festival in the United States named after a woman of color.

Under the busking scheme, endorsed buskers can collect tips from the public but they cannot actively ask for money.
"Contrary to popular belief, buskers are not beggars. We actually put in effort to audition for a licence, and put in a lot of effort in our performance."
